    It isn't your fault

A lot of people tend to think that for some reason they should blame themselves for their sexual issues. People end up becoming depressed over something that isn't their fault. Work, School, and other stressful activities are the culprits here...as well as old age. These reactions our bodies have are completely natural and you should not look down upon yourself for things you can't control.

But you can manage your stress. Stress is one of the leading causes of male and female impotence. Understand that stress is a natural response by your body, and without stress, your body would be in bad shape. That might sound funny, but it's true, because stress can be good and bad.

Good stress is when your body reacts to a situation with a positive outcome. Good stress is also known as short term stress. What you feel before an important job presentation, test, interview, or sporting event is known as short-term stress, and may give you the extra energy you need to perform at your best. Without short-term stress life would be boring and unexciting.

Bad stress also known as long-term stress is the killer. Constant worry over your job, school, or family are just a few examples of long-term stress which may actually drain your energy and your ability to perform well.

Here are some tips for managing stress

    • Keep a positive attitude.
    • Accept that there are events that you cannot control.
    • Be assertive instead of aggressive. "Assert" your feelings, opinions, or beliefs instead of becoming angry, defensive, or passive.
    • Learn and practice relaxation techniques.
    • Exercise regularly. Your body can fight stress better when it is fit.
    • Eat healthy, well-balanced meals.
    • Get enough rest and sleep-- Your body needs time to recover from stressful events.
    • Don't rely on alcohol or drugs to manage stress
    • Seek out social support.
    • Learn to manage your time more effectively.
Here are some quick fixes to stressful situations
    • Breath deeply - take several deep breaths to slow down your heart rate and reduce your anxiety.
    • Relax your muscles - stretch your neck, stand or sit up straight, get some of the tension out of your body.
    • Make a change - step back from what you're doing and/or what's stressing you; a few seconds can bring a lot of perspective.
    • Laugh - nothing relieves the tension in your body, or your mind, like a little humor.
And always try to remember you're not alone. Millions of other people are experiencing the same thing.
